Northern Iraq Bridge Project Suspended Cantilever Formwork
The project, currently under construction in Iraq’s Soran region and set to be the region’s longest bridge at 32 meters high, adds strategic value to the region’s transportation infrastructure. Upon completion, the bridge will stand out as a significant investment contributing not only to Iraq’s but also to the entire region’s economic and social development.
URTIM Formwork and Scaffolding Systems was chosen for this prestigious project due to the innovative solutions it offers. The suspended cantilevered formwork solution implemented in the project allows concrete pouring without the need for scaffolding installation on the bridge piers. This method offers significant advantages by both saving costs and speeding up the construction process.
URTIM contributes to the project not only with system supply but also with technical office work, R&D support, and supervisor services. The developed custom solutions, combined with on-site applications, enable the project to progress safely, quickly, and in accordance with international standards.
With nearly half a century of experience in infrastructure and superstructure projects around the world, URTIM is proud to support one of the region’s most important projects, the Soran Bridge, with its engineering strength and innovative vision.
